First day in Kuala Lumpur - Malaysia

Our first day of trip started at 3h30am. A little early for a holiday, but we have to do some sacrifices. We flighted out at 6h30am and landed in Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) 12pm. Our plane was better than the last four that we have been, but still a little bit uncomfortable, because our sits were not recliner. Well, that's a small thing to someone who is going for a 3 months vacancy.

KL remembered me some coast cities of Sao Paulo state, with tropical vegetation everywhere and umid weather. The city is a mix of traditional and the modern with huge towers and Mosques and Temples sharing the same square. Trains seems to be the easiest and safe way to move here. And, likewise Bali (Indonesia), you have to bargain to do almost everything, mainly to shop but also to get a taxi. Most of the population speaks English, so it's easy to communicate and ask for directions.

Because we were tired we didn't do much today, only wandering in shopping malls. Attention girls, if you think Melbourne is the best place to shop, well you should come to KL. Here you can find hundreds shopping centres with 99% of the biggest model brands.

Tomorrow we got to see the Petronas Towers, the second tallest building in the world, and some markets.

Nosso primeiro dia de viagem comecou às 3h30 da manhã. Um pouco cedo pra um dia de férias, mas esse é um dos sacrifícios que temos que fazer. Nosso vôo partiu às 6h30 da manhã e chegamos em Kuala Lampur (Malásia) às 12h30. Nosso avião foi o melhor que tivemos se compararmos com os últimos 4, porém com um problema, meu assento não reclinava. Bom, isso é algo pequeno pra quem terá 3 meses de férias ininterruptas.

KL me lembra algumas cidades do litoral paulista, com vegetacao tropical e clima úmido. A cidade é uma mistura do moderno com o tradicional, com torres altas e reluzentes divindo espaco no mesmo quarteirão com mesquitas e templos. Os trens parecem ser o meio de transporte mais barato e seguro. E aqui, assim como Bali (Indonésia) também vale a regra da barganha pra quase tudo, desde compras até pegar um táxi. A maioria fala inglês, então fica fácil se comunicar e perguntar por direções.

Porque nós estávamos cansados nós não fizemos muita coisa hoje, apenas passeamos por shoppings. Aliás mulherada, se voces acham que Melbourne é o paraíso das compras, voces têem que vir pra KL. Aqui vocês podem achar milhares de shoppings com as marcas mais conhecidas.

Amanhã nós vamos conhecer a Petronas Tower, o segundo edificio mais alto do mundo, e também alguns mercados no centro.
